WEIGHT CALCULATION AND RISKS CAUSED BY EXCESS WEIGHT

Weight Calculation
There are many ideal weight assessment methods, but simpliest one is assessment of the body mass index (BMI)

  • BMI = Kilo (kg )
  • Length (m2)
  • Lower than 20: Under normal
  • Between 20 and 24.9: Normal
  • Betweem 25 and 29.9: Overweight
  • Between 30 and 39.9: Fat
  • 40 and above: Over-fat
  • For example, anybody of 60 kg in weight and 1.70 m in length
  • 60: (1.70)2 = 60 : 2.89 = 20.76 normal weight
  • 70 kg in weight and 1.60 m in length
  • 70: (1.60)2 = 70 :2.56 = 27.34 excess weight

What Does Weight Cause On Us?

  • It causes esthetic problems, and reduces self confidence;
  • It causes any ccardiovascular diseases and increases a death risk 2 times in a heart disease;
  • It increase a blood pressure risk;
  • Yoır joints are deteriorated and arthritis and joint disorders occur değending on an increase in body weight;
  • Gout formation increases;
  • Impotency is observed in men; and menstrual irregularity and infertility are observed in women;
  • Apneic seizures calles as asphyxia occur and snores increase during sleep;
  • It causes eating disorders;
  • It increases a risk to suffer diabetes;
  • Coronary heart failure is excessive;
  • Gallbladder stones form; and
  • The risk of contracting cancer and death due to cancer increases.

    • TO UNDERSTAND OBESITY
      The important thing in obesity description is an increase in body fats. (Although weight in people having a strong muscular structure is excessive, this ration may be lower.) We should eat a sufficient amount of foods to avoid obesity or do exercises to burn foods as we eat.

      We should adjust your food consumption according to burning level, and the energy we obtain should be less than the energy we burn; We should never conduct diets with low calories (diets that cause to lose a weight more than 1 kg weekly)
