TO UNDERSTAND OBESITY

The important thing in obesity description is an increase in body fats. (Although weight in people having a strong muscular structure is excessive, this ration may be lower.) We should eat a sufficient amount of foods to avoid obesity or do exercises to burn foods as we eat. If we never do so, excessive calories as we take shall be stored as fat in the body. Obesity is a problem of the world. Especially, the worrying thing is an increase in number of obese children in the world. Most important factors are an increase fat and sugar ratio in a diet and stationary life. The fact that most of the foods we consume contain carbohydrates is an important fact in obesity. Most of calories we take are produced by foods made of refined products. While we treat wheat used pastries, cakes and pies we eat fondly and hungrily, 95% of fiber, 60% of calcium, 85% of magnesium and 78% of zinc are lost, and with bleaching chemicals, wheat, a blue-eyed boy of our kitchen, becomes a product, which is not nutrient, has no vitamin value and generates a void energy. As a stationary life and stress are added to them, just we have no cause not to gain weight. Our life causes us to gain weight. According to distribution of fatty cells, obesity is divided into 3: Hyperplastic, hypertrophic and both hypertrophic and hyperplastic.

In hyperplastic type, fatty oils extend to whole body, lipoidosis occurs beginning from childhood and even from the mother’s womb. In Hypertrophic type, size of the existing oily cells increases and causes any diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, heart diseases, etc. seen usually in older ages. Hyperplastic and hypertrophic oxide has two features. Causes of the obesity should be reviewed well to eliminate and prevent the obesity as a plaque of the century.

  • Psychological causes: In case of excessive stress, one eats more foods, spends more time on TV, lives a sedative life and gains weight.
  • One eats more foods that spent energy.
  • Low seratonin level
  • Maturity and breastfeeding periods
  • Hormonal causes, hyperthyroidc conditions, reduction of sensitivity against insulin hormone
  • Deficit, eating fiberous foods
  • Excessive alcohol consumption
  • Some drug intakes
